Lakitu is an obstacle in I Wanna Be The Guy: Gaiden. He appeared during the C
urse Mode weekend as the 'special guest' as stated in the message presented in the beginning of the game during that weekend. He hovers around The Lad and throws yellow barrels at him. He appears everywhere in the game, the stage selection and all three stages. He can be killed after being hit several times with bullets and can be instantly killed with the bionic arm. If killed, he won't appear again until you die or retry.

- If you enter a stage and it cuts to black, he can still kill you before the stage actually begins.
